President Expresses Confidence in Strengthening Maldives-Bahrain Relations

President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has conveyed his assurance that the diplomatic ties between the Maldives and Bahrain are positioned for significant enhancement and will attain new levels of cooperation and mutual benefit in the foreseeable future. This statement was made in his letters sent on the occasion of Bahrain’s National Day.

In letters addressed to King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and Prime Minister and Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, President Dr Muizzu extended greetings and best wishes on behalf of the government and the people of the Maldives.

In his letters, President Dr Muizzu noted the warm and brotherly relations of friendship and cooperation between the Maldives and Bahrain, expressing optimism that these relations would continue to flourish. He also extended his best wishes for the good health and well-being of both the King and the Crown Prince and for the continued progress and prosperity of the people of Bahrain.

Bahrain’s National Day is celebrated annually on 16 December. Diplomatic relations between the Maldives and Bahrain were established on 24 March 1980.
