VP reaffirms government’s commitment to meet the needs of the youth

Vice President Hussain Mohamed Latheef has reaffirmed the government’s full commitment to support the needs of the youth. He made the remarks during the inauguration of the “Shades of Mind” art exhibition. Speaking at the inauguration of the exhibition, Vice President Latheef conveyed a special message to the youth. The vice president reiterated President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu’s policies of prioritising the needs of the youth, to assist them in securing a bright future. He called onto all parties to exert unified efforts to minimise the challenges facing the youth involved in various national and economic activities. On this stance, he wished the youth who decide moving forward in the field a successful future. At the special function held at the National Art Gallery, Vice President Latheef was presented with a catalogue consisting of photos and information about the exhibits. This was followed by a special photo session, after which the vice president viewed the exhibits and interacted with the artists. This exhibition, organised by the Ministry of Youth Empowerment, Information and Arts, aims to create awareness of mental health through art and to use the exhibits as an informative tool. It will be open for public viewing until 17th November. Exhibits were submitted by Maldivian youth from across the country.
