Over 2,000 Enrolls in Register of Students Studying Abroad

So far 2,116 students have registered in the register of students studying abroad, the Ministry of Higher Education, Labour and Skills Development said Monday.

The Minister launched efforts to compile a register of Maldivians studying abroad which was designed to include both government scholarship recipients and students studying privately.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Labor and Skills Development said more than 2,000 students have registered as students studying abroad thus far.

The Ministry of Higher Education, Labor and Skills Development said 2,116 students have registered since the register was opened. The register includes 915 male students and 1,201 female students.

These students include students on bilateral scholarships, government scholarships, government loans and students studying at their own expense or through other private means, the Ministry said.

The purpose of the register is to facilitate the monitoring and management of students studying abroad, the Ministry of Higher Education, Labor and Skills Development said.
