Maldives wins World’s Leading Tourism Destination Award for fifth consecutive year
The Maldives has once again been crowned the World’s Leading Tourism Destination, marking the fifth consecutive year it has received the prestigious accolade at the World Travel Awards. This year’s awards ceremony took place in Madeira, Portugal, where the Maldives secured the title against 18 competing destinations.
In a groundbreaking achievement, the Maldives also won the World’s Leading Green Destination Award for the first time, reflecting the nation’s growing commitment to sustainable tourism and environmental preservation.
