Finance Ministry says efforts are underway to develop a reform office
Ministry of Finance has initiated the development of a reform office, with the goal of enhancing and strengthening the state’s financial management. The primary purpose of establishing this office is to ensure the effective implementation of the government’s reform agenda and strengthen the financial system by reducing state expenditures, while increasing the revenue generated.
The finance ministry indicated that reform activities are currently underway and that the creation of a dedicated office will help streamline the process, ensuring it is conducted in an organised and transparent manner. Additionally, the ministry is seeking a commissioner to oversee the operations of the office. Interested individuals may submit their applications by December 8.
Applicants for the commissioner position must hold a degree in accounting or finance, or possess an equivalent higher educational qualification, and have at least 10 years of relevant experience. The commissioner will be tasked with developing strategies for the implementation of reforms, as well as preparing frameworks and progress reports on the execution of fiscal reforms and state owned enterprises.
