President Forwards Nominations for Elections Commission, Broadcom for Parliament Approval
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Thursday forwarded nominations for membership of the Elections Commission and Maldives Broadcasting Commission for Parliament approval.
The nominations were sent as the terms of Broadcasting Commission President Mariam Waheeda and Commission Member Ali Yoosuf had expired. The President has sent a dozen names to the Parliament in the order of his preference.

The President has sent two names to Parliament for appointment to the Election Commission after the posts of Vice President Ali Nashath and Member Mohamed Asif became vacant.
Mohamed Zahid and Abdul Rahman Solah Rasheed have been nominated by the President to fill the vacancies.
Members of independent institutions after nominations by the President are approved by the Parliament.
