President and First Lady depart on a state visit to India
President His Excellency Dr Mohamed Muizzu and First Lady Madam Sajidha Mohamed have departed on a state visit to the Republic of India. The President’s state visit to India, from 6 to 10 October 2024, is at the official invitation of the President of India, Her Excellency Droupadi Murmu.
During this visit, the President will hold high-level meetings with President Murmu, Prime Minister His Excellency Narendra Modi, and other senior officials of the Indian government.
This is the first state visit President Dr Muizzu is undertaking to India, since assuming office last November.
