President Addresses Dhihdhoo’s Development Priorities
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has discussed Dhihdhoo’s key development needs with the island’s Council and Women’s Development Committee (WDC). The meeting took place in Dhan’gethi, Alifu Dhaalu Atoll, as part of the President’s ongoing tour of select islands within the atoll.
During the discussion, the Council highlighted residents’ concerns regarding the implementation of the island’s harbour project and the channel breakwater project, as well as the pressing issue of coastal erosion affecting the island. The Council also provided detailed feedback on residents’ preferences regarding ongoing projects and raised concerns about the state of education on the island.
In his response, the President assured the Council that he would thoroughly review the issues raised and work towards finding sustainable solutions to these matters.
During the meeting, Cabinet Ministers accompanying the President also provided comprehensive updates on the current development projects underway in Dhihdhoo.
