Maldives and Tajikistan sign visa exemption agreement
Maldives and Tajikistan have signed an agreement on mutual exemption of visa requirements, allowing nationals of both countries to travel visa-free for a period of 30 days.
The agreement was signed in New York by Permanent Representative of the Maldives to the United Nations Dr. Ali Naseer Mohamed and Permanent Representative of Tajikistan to the United Nations Hikmat Jonibek Ismoil. The signing ceremony took place at the Permanent Mission of Tajikistan to the United Nations.
This bilateral agreement formalises the existing unilateral visa-free regimes of both nations, further strengthening diplomatic and travel ties.
