Maldives and Saudi Arabia Strengthen Bilateral Ties in Riyadh Meeting

The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr Abdulla Khaleel held official talks with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al-Saud to reaffirm the strong diplomatic ties between the two nations

During the meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia in Riyadh, both Ministers reaffirmed the strong bonds of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and emphasized on the importance of continued collaboration. 

Foreign Minister Dr Khaleel expressed appreciation for the longstanding friendship and cooperation with Saudi Arabia, highlighting shared Islamic values and common interests that form the very foundation of the partnership. He further expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia for the continued support and assistance from the kingdom throughout the development journey of the Maldives. 
 

Both Ministers also agreed to explore further opportunities for cooperation bilaterally and continue to work closely in multilateral forums.   

Foreign Minister Khaleel was accompanied by Ambassador of Maldives to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Sareer, Secretary, Bilateral Dr Hala Hameed, Joint Secretary Khadeeja Najeeha and Counsellor at the Embassy of Maldives in Saudi Arabia, Ahmed Fazeel.
