Islamic Minister contracts mosque construction on Maafannu Boduge land
The Ministry of Islamic Affairs has awarded a contract to a group of local businessmen to construct a new mosque on the land of Maafannu Boduge. The team was selected after expressing interest in building a permanent mosque on the site. The mosque, as outlined by the Ministry, will feature three floors and will serve as a center for both religious and educational activities. It is planned to include facilities for Quranic teaching as well as a library. The agreement for the project was formally signed by the Minister of Islamic Affairs, Dr. Mohamed Shaheem Ali, on behalf of the Ministry. The ground-breaking ceremony for the mosque is scheduled to take place in December, with construction set to begin after the month of Ramadan, according to the Ministry. This project is part of the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to enhance religious infrastructure and provide a space for community and educational activities.
