Professional and Career Women’s Awards presented to 27 individuals

Women in Management Maldives, a private organisation dedicated to empowering women, has presented the 2024 Professional and Career Women’s Awards to 27 distinguished individuals. The awarding ceremony was graced by the Minister of Social and Family Development Dr. Aishath Shiham and the Minister of Higher Education Dr. Maryam Mariya.

The Professional and Career Women’s Awards, an annual event organised by Women in Management Maldives, seeks to recognise and celebrate the significant achievements of women across various sectors, while also encouraging further progress. This year, the award was conferred upon 27 women who have demonstrated exceptional success in business and their respective careers.

During the ceremony, Zahiyyaa Mohamed from Ukulhas, Alif Alif Atoll, was presented the “Woman of the Year” award. Additionally, Care Society and Dhiraagu were also recognised for their contributions. These awards are intended to open doors to new opportunities and foster economic development.

This marks the sixth edition of the Professional and Career Women’s Awards. Since its inception, over 170 women have been honoured for their outstanding contributions in diverse fields, including banking and finance, hospitality, media, law, logistics, and supply chain management, among others.
